Team Experience
IRAQ:
Did all tendering and evaluations to drill GEPs first exploration well in the Atrush block in Northern Iraq. Wrote the drilling program, built the location and brought the rig in to start drilling in just over 5 months. Finished drilling the first exploration well in the Atrush block $6 million under budget. Total cost for drilling and testing the first well was $32 million.Drilled the second exploration well ahead of schedule (10 days) and under budget by $9 million dollars.
NIGERIA:
Deepwater Drilling Engineering for Chevron in Nigeria. Wrote and implemented programs for drilling and completing deepwater oil wells. Lower completions consist of single, double or triple frac packs and the upper completions are IWC. Monitor well operations and assist drilling superintendents in maintaining high standards for safety and operational excellence. Interface with service partners regarding equipment, personnel and performance.
UAE:
TUG UAE to complete their 2nd Horizontal well in the DIYAB Concession. Well was suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic & the travel restrictions surrounding that event. Wells were 4000m TVD HTHP Gas Wells with 13,000 psi BHP, 305° F BHT & 2000m of lateral section. Drilled 3 ERD horizontal wells utilizing rotary steerable technology with a full suite of LWD Tools from Sperry. Utilized ADNOC Drilling’s AD-64 2000 hp rig with NOV amphion control system complete with the desert package for rig moves in the UAE desert. Used Weatherford’s MPD package on the first well due to over pressured reservoir & well control problems, maintaining 200- 300 psi on the reservoir while drilling the lateral section, spotting kill mud in vertical section to control the well to run the liner & cement in place. Completed phase 1 of the project & demobilized the rig.
OMAN:
BP Oman for their Khazzan Field Development Project, to start up KCA Deutag’s T-95, a brand new Bentec 2000 hp AC electric rig, where we fully commissioned & acceptance tested the rig prior to spudding the first well. Drilled a 4800m S shaped directional well, utilizing RSS directional technology in the build section. Casing strings run using Casing Running tool systems, with the bottom section of the well drilled with an impreg bit & a turbine. Completed the well with a cemented completion on a tapered liner & ran the full completion after the final cement job. Successfully drilled all wells, 4 deep horizontals & 2 deep exploratory well, under budget & ahead of the time curve by 16 to 35 days, while mentoring & training brand new rig crews & ensuring they adhered to BP’s policies & procedures. Completed the 2nd well, a 6200m horizontal well with a 4800m TVD over 28 days ahead of BP’s previous benchmark well in the field, setting multiple bit run records from 200m to 600m, as well as optimizing performance.
CANADA:
DRILLING SUPERVISOR- Encana CorporationNE British Columbia, Canada Drilled 4000m deep sour gas wells in the Canadian Foothills with oil-based mud & an environmentally protected wetland 300m off the edge of the well site. Utilized Peloton’s Well View reporting program.
ARGENTINA:
Arpetrol Argentina. Did all the planning for a 5000m extended reach horizontal well on the southern tip of mainland Argentina (Faro Virgenes). Project subsequently cancelled due to the global economic downturn.
.
KURDISTAN:
